Small Tree Installation, done with precision

Planting a small tree is the best chance to give it a long life. We help you pick a species suited to your sun, soil and available space, such as crape myrtle, redbud, Texas mountain laurel or a young oak, then plant it properly: a wide hole no deeper than the root ball, root flare at or slightly above grade, native soil backfill, a mulch ring and thorough watering. In clay, deep holes act like a bathtub and can drown roots, and on shallow limestone we may build up rather than dig down. We keep trees away from foundations, sewer lines and overhead wires. Newly planted trees need steady watering through the first two summers, and we provide a simple watering plan. We do not stake unless it is needed.

Common questions about small tree installation

How long until it gives shade?

Small trees take several years to provide real shade. Growth rate depends on species, water and soil.

Do you cover the tree if it dies?

We don't promise survival, since weather and watering matter. We plant it correctly and give you care instructions to give it the best chance.

Are you arborists?

No. We are a landscape and exterior contractor who does tree trimming, removal and cleanup. For disease diagnosis or very large or hazardous trees, we may refer you to a specialist.

Do you work near power lines?

We assess the situation, but work near energized lines is generally handled by the utility or a qualified specialist. We will tell you if that applies.
